We're having a party! Genevieve will help you and your friends make jewelry for your occasion! Choose beads and findings from the Bead Gallery collection to make into your own original designs. Genevieve will help you add a clasp or earwires so you can make necklaces, bracelets or earrings. A fun filled night for all!

Bead Gallery will choose which class to teach based on the experience of those in the class or to try out new classes and variations on other classes.
The classes will be usually a couple bead weaving classes, a couple wire-working classes and then a few surprises. There's something for everyone!

Pillow and Trillium Beaded Beads NEW CLASS

Intermediate - basic peyote knowledge is a must
The intriguing shape of the pillow bead is produced by combining two pieces of beadwork in a surprising way. The results feel firm, in fact, solid though it is hollow. We'll make one using merciful size 8 beads but you'll make dozens more of every size seed bead, even cylinder beads. Expand on what you learned in the first bead to make a distinctly new shape of beaded bead.

Intricately Beaded Beads NEW CLASS

Intermediate - knowledge of peyote is a must
Working from a selected palette of seed beads, create an intricately designed netted slip-cover for a wooden or ceramic bead. Learn to customize the fit with picot and peyote stitches. Expand on the slip-cover concept, this time using right angle weave. Expect to learn techniques you will use over and over but, don't expect to complete many beads in class.

Midsummer Night's Bracelet NEW CLASS

Create a sparkling fabric of Swarovski crystals using a double-needle method of right-angle weave. Learn the little mantra that propels you through row after row. Embellish the surface while increasing the integrity of the beadwork by the addition of miniscule golden charlottes, swarovski elements and drops. A magnetic tube closure lends a jewelry store touch to this refined and elegant piece. Don't expect to finish in class.

Glass Bead Inspired Lariat with Carol Cypher

Explore several nuances of a little known stitch from South Africa in this lariat class. Discover a versatile way of incorporating lampworked beads into your beadwork. Drawing inspiration from a lampworked glass bead by Nancy Tobey, weave three beaded beads that capture its likeness in seed beads and crystal. And better yet - Nancy Tobey will be at Bead Gallery with her collection of beads so you can choose your own bead! Weave a comfortable and conforming lariat that joins the original with its dopplegangers. Expect to attain familiarity and a fondness for a new stitch plus knowledge of transitioning to herringbone stitch. Don't expect to completely finish in class.
