$60.00
Instructor: Guest Artist: Carol Huber Cypher
Bead Happy
Friday, April 9: 2-5 PM
60.00
All Levels
The original bracelet is composed of silver lined aqua; reds, like those of blood, wine and roses; out-loud yellows of dandelions and primrose; clear chartreuse of tender new leaves in Spring; and the orange of Buddhist robes; plus a pinch of lavender, copper and brown : a color combination that, for me, evokes happiness and joy.
This sweet bracelet is also a delight to make. Though it appears to be a strand of complex beaded beads, it is a rhythmic tubular Ndebele, using every size of seed bead. Create a double headed closure on one end that will fit perfectly into a loop at the other end.

Pentagon Necklace with Carol Cypher
Friday, April 9: 6-9 PM
60.00
Intermediate
This pentagon pendant is not just lovely to wear. It is a delightful way to become proficient in Cubic Right Angle Weave. Learn a logical way to build a c.r.a.w. unit, and HOW to add another, and WHERE to add each additional unit, to achieve any desired form, in this case a 5-sided “circle”. Notice the tiny star-shaped space within each of the 5 corners. Frequently we encounter projects that resemble c.r.a.w. but, are actually two layers of simple right-angle weave that are stitched together or woven as tubular right-angle weave. The advantage of c.r.a.w. is its durability, especially important when using these precision faceted crystals with sharp holes. Finish by weaving an elegant chain of bicone crystals and tiny charlottes.

This supple and partially wired sculptural piece, beautiful from every angle, can be worn in variety of methods. Create the flower by combining circular peyote with herringbone. Short fringes decorate the center and are used to attach the petals.
It is composed entirely of seed beads, except the “cornflake” pearls.
